This course offers you different theoretical and practice workshops to guide you safely through your first river kayaking experience. You will get a feel for basic techniques on flatwater, under the constant supervision of your instructor. You will learn to identify the different parts of your boat, as well as the equipment needed, terminology, safety rules, basic techniques and, of course, how to do an Eskimo roll.
This course is designed to push techniques learned during the Level I course even further, as well as developing basic strokes in white water. This course is for beginner kayakers that aren’t at their first paddle or even intermediate kayakers that already master their boat on flatwater. You will learn different rescue techniques, universal communication signs, how to situate yourself on a river, how to identify a class I-II-III rapid, as well as other techniques to manoeuvre your boat in white water.
